About Material Designs

Material Designs is a relatively new Interior Design and Soft Furnishings business established by Liz Gillespie in March 2006.

I have been in the interior design and soft furnishings business for over 22 years and qualified as a Interior Designer with distinction in 1998 with the 'Royal Academy of Fine Arts' in London. 

Also accredited with a diploma in soft furnishings & upholstery in 1993.

Current work includes designing and producing soft furnishings for a local property developer for show homes as well as working closely with other building firms in the area. I also have many individual commissions.

I like to keep a keen eye on current trends in the trade and covers a diverse range of design styles by attending exhibitions and tutorials whenever possible.

The service is individually tailored to client needs in every aspect of interior design, however large or small the project.
